Monsters: the shadow cousins of mankind.
Monsters are immortal. Even if “killed” the reincarnate.
If man is the elephant trainer (conscious self)
Monster is the elephant (subconscious self)
Monsters are not animals. Not beasts. Monsters are monsters.
Humans are made of DNA. Monsters are made of magic.
Human = symmetrical. Monsters = NOT symmetrical. Monsters come in all shapes, sizes and forms. Some characteristic may include but are not limited too: horns, spikes, scaly bits, claws, webbed wings, chicken feet, and crooked jagged teeth, large yellow or green eyes.
Monsters can see in the dark, breath fire, eat fire, enjoy slime baths, think dirt and rocks taste good, find beauty in chaotic untamed wild things.
Monsters are numerous, a multi-species as broad as the entire animal and insect kingdom. Man is but one puny species.Older monsters are known to possess intellect and knowledge far beyond any Wiseman. Some have bothered to master the simple speech of man

I see the makings of a book, or series of monster/man books, possibly for children. Spells to rid oneself of monsters could be included. The picture of three toothy odd guys above could be the characters in one of the books.
